Newspaper Gift Ideas Well Recieved At The 2010 N.E.C Autumn Gift Fair

Wow what busy 4 days we had at the N.EC Autumn Gift Fair.  Papers Past's Original Newspaper Gifts went down a storm at our first International Trade event.  At one point we had three gift buyers jostling in the queue to find out information about our Back Dated Newspapers.  It was great to show off our Historic Newspapers in all their glory.  The 1930 Times Newspapers were getting alot of interest as everyone was reading the old house adverts on the back page.  Did you know that in 1930 you could get a 7 bedroom, 7 acres house in Dorset for £3500, what a bargain!

It was great fun setting up the trade stand as we covered the walls with pages from our Back Issue Newspapers, when we were quiet I spent my time reading these from top to bottom.  At the Fair we also launched a new Papers Past Product - Our Victorian Newspapers - in which the customer gives us a Day and Month date and we go into the Victorian Newspaper Archive and select a Victorian Newspaper full of fascinating news that happened on that day.  To launch this product and to stand out from the crowd Ian dressed up as a Victorian Gentleman, this got a great reaction - check out the picture below.

Although very tiring we came away form the show with a booklet brimming full of new contacts.  We've now got the job to follow up these leads - but don't worry this won't impact on our same day dispatch service for orders placed by 2pm on a week day.  Remember ordering a Birthday or Anniversary Newspaper couldn't be easier simply visit http://www.paperspast.co.uk/ or give us a call on 01872 261220 9am-9pm 365days a year.
