Archived issues of papers for birthdates

With over 150 tons of original, genuine, full and complete editions of The Times newspaper it takes a high degree of organising to efficiently retrieve a single paper for a birthdate or anniversary. The new Redruth Archive is working very well and all of the palleted newspaper volumes and crates are in good working order. There is still plenty of room to bring in more stock from Truro. So, as you can see, its a logistical challenge to keep the stocks tidy and organised but one that we are succeeding at.
Every order is dealt with as an individual job, a typical example is an order we took over the weekend for a 2009 Times. A customer wanted 3rd October 2009 Times Newspaper for a Wedding Anniversary Gift, it was a Saturday back then. Paper being the recognised gift for a First Wedding Anniversary. The date was put on to a search list for Sam to find at the Redruth store. The 2009's are all crated and towards the back of the store and the early October crate of Times editions was second one down, two from the right on the fourth pallet in. Being a Saturday newspaper Sam checked that the paper included all the supplements and magazines and brought it back for packaging, its Certificate of Authenticity was issued and the order was dispatched on Monday and delivered on Tuesday. Its going to be presented at an intimate anniversary meal where I am sure it will help to bring back memories from the happy day.
