Birthday Celebrations for Two Wimbledon Champions and Two Test Cricket Captains

Born on 22 November 1943 tennis player Billie Jean King and cricketer Mushtaq Mohammed both celebrate their 67th birthdays today. Other famous sports stars with birthdays today include Boris Becker, 43, and Marvan Atapattu, 40.
The Papers Past archive includes newspapers reporting all of their sporting achievements. We had a request for a sporting newspaper last week, not from a player but from a cricketing fan who remembers being in a press photograph in 1971 when he was standing next to the Indian cricket team, we searched the August 1971 sports pages and found some of the team photos which we emailed to the enquirer but it turned out that he wasn't in any of the pictures that we sent.
